About Me

I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering counselling and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents and children. I hold my own private practice in North Kingston and also counsel children at a local junior school. I am a mentor within the Disability and Dyslexia Department of Kingston University and between 2008 and 2012 I worked at the Claremont Medical Centre in Surbiton and within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames Occupational Health Dept where I was engaged in work place based counselling. From 2004 until 2012 I was employed by the parenting website Netmums.com most recently becoming their Parent Supporter for Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health. In addition I offer telephone support and advice around issues relating to Antenatal and Postnatal Depression and a variety of parenting matters for Greatvine.com in partnership with Prima Baby and Net Doctor.

About My Work

I work both face to face and when appropriate by telephone, using an Integrative Relational approach by which I mean that I draw upon a range of different theories to inform and support my work with you. For me it is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client that is the most important factor in how successful counselling will be and so with this in mind I offer you
a warm, respectful and accepting relationship without judgement or criticism.

When working with children both in schools and privately, I use a gentle and non-directive approach employing a wide range of Creative Play Techniques.
